Gallery: Atomic hit Melbourne pretty hard for the latest Unlocked show. Some of us are still recovering...
Well, Atomic Unlocked Melbourne edition was a success.
Much beer was drunk, shiny pub food nommed, and many questions were asked of our guests from Avermedia, Intel, Kingston and Team Immunity. There was a mess of prizes handed out, from Intel K-series processors, to 3D cards from Avermedia, and a mess of Kingston RAM and SSD products. There were laughs, there was fragging, and I even finally managed to beat Fredzfrog in a game of foozball.
It was, seriously, an awesome time.
The show itself was a hoot, kicking off with our Ultimate Atomican Quiz, before getting straight into the nitty gritty with Intel's rep on the night, Thomas Tapsas. He was great, talking all about Intel's future plans and even dropping a few hints about some as yet unannounced CPU products that had Dinos22 drooling!
Kev Hartin was up next, from Altech, and he told us all about Avermedia's 3D product range. It was a great, freewheeling talk on the hardware, 3D entertainment, and silly AFL rules.
Seriously, guys - it's called overtime!
Finally, we spoke with Team Immunity's Tony Trubridge about the state of pro-gaming and just exactly what it takes to make the leap to the pro-circuit.
After that, it was back to the pub for some old fashioned catching up and hanging out. It was a great night, and huge thanks to our generous sponsors, and to all who showed up. See you again next time!
See the rest of our Unlocked tour!
