Atomic’s Weekly Games Roundup -- 19/10/06

Xbox 360 asks: “Is that a controller in your pants, or are you just happy to see me, or both?” Plus, Naruto vs Goku!

A camera for the Xbox 360 which can, among other things, enable video conferencing over Xbox Live has been announced. The software that accompanies said camera has the ability for one party to activate the motorized weight mechanism in the other party’s controller. Activating the vibrator. We'll let you and your imagination ponder the possibilities...

The release date for Neverwinter Nights 2 has been announced: November 9th. An early build arrived in the office yesterday, but when I glanced at it (with the intention to play it) a protective Dave Kidd snatched it away and snarled “MINE!” so I can’t tell you about the game first hand. The original, produced by Bioware, was extremely popular, which means that Obsidian Entertainment have a lot to live up to.

The full motion video scenes from the upcoming Command and Conqueror 3: Tiberium Wars will feature Star Wars’ Lando. Uh, we mean, Billy Dee Williams, the actor who played Lando. Tricia Helfer, who plays Number Six in Battlestar Galactica, is also on the cast list. Better yet, the actor who played Kane in the original Command and Conqueror, Joe Kucan, will be appearing in the game. We’re hoping that his entrance in C&C3 will be as dramatic as his entrance in the original.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja is heading to the PS2. Hooray! No more imports! There are 14 characters in the cell shaded game, and you’ll have to unlock most of them. We don’t yet know if the dialogue will be in Japanese or in over-emotive English, but we’ve asked and we’ll let you know. It’s due to hit the shelves on November 17. Oddly enough, today we also discovered the launch date of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2. Goku wins this round -- it’s a November 9 release.
