Team Atomic + Team Haymarket honoured with loads of awards at industry's big night.

Haymarket Media Australia is proudly celebrating a dominating win at the IT publishing industry’s annual Sun Microsystems IT Journo Awards – known as ‘The Lizzies’.

Atomic MPC won ‘Best Gaming Title’, a new award category for this year, soundly defeating major international titles IGN.com.au and Gamespot.com.au and Xbox360, as well as local games magazines Hyper and PC PowerPlay.

Atomic MPC Technical Writer Craig Simms won ‘Best New Technology Journalist’, a just reward for his hard work and exemplary journalistic talents.

Online Journalist David Field was also acknowledged, as a finalist in the same category.

Atomic MPC also won ‘Best Production Team’, a well deserved award reflecting Atomic MPC’s premium design and layout, photography and overall material quality.

PC Authority magazine took out the premiere award, winning ‘Best Personal Technology Title’, comfortably defeating all competitor titles in the mainstream PC magazine segment, and highlighting the team’s hard work and talent.

Atomic MPC won 'Best Technical Title' last year.

The team’s multiple wins were bolstered by a strong presence as finalists for several other categories, including:

Atomic MPC for ‘Best Technology Media Website’.

Atomic MPC editor Logan Booker for ‘Best Gaming Journalist’.

PC Authority’s Labs Editor, Nick Ross for ‘Best Technical Journalist’, as well as ‘Best Technology Reviewer’.

Lilia Guan of IT News for ‘Best Technology Industry Journalist’.

CRN for ‘Best Technology Industry Title’.

The IT Journo Awards are regarded as the ultimate achievement in the Australian IT publishing industry. Judged by industry experts and peers, the ceremony was held at the Grand Ballroom of Sydney’s Star City Complex and was attended by hundreds of the IT industry’s most prominent figures in a dazzling black tie gala event.

The team celebrated with appropriate gusto, treating the patrons of several inner city venues on Friday evening and Saturday morning with enthusiastic public displays of joy and team love.
