A miracle of skills, dexterity, nerve control and defying the odds of electrocution.

The push to include speedbuilding as an official Olympic event started on the afternoon of Saturday Oct 20th, and the now superfamous event that was Atomic Live.

Hundreds of Atomicans crowded the Live main stage, and our MC Losty picked the three who radiated the most desperate, explosive ‘for the love of all things electric – pick me’ enthusiasm.

Up went Ben, Mitchell and Saxon.

The components we’d left in the boxes for an added dose of excitement and challenge, and as soon as the clock started a blur of hands, box tearing and flying debris ensued.

It was nuts!

With the crowd cheering our builders on, we had a winner after just 3 minutes and 3 seconds.

Congrats Ben! A well deserving winner, especially so when we found out that he would be using the winning gear to build a new system for his dear old dad.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6550
Gigabyte GA-X38 DQ6
2GB Kingston DDR2-800

Then, in a surprise action bonus twist, we announced that the two runner uperers would be taking home an Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 each. Sweet!

Stay tuned over the next few days as more Atomic Live videos make their dazzling debut, and cheers to Faldo for editing them all together.

ROLL THE TAPE!
