Full list of cars and full complement of olives inside
Sony isn’t going to like me for saying this, but I don’t care: I don’t like the concept behind the Gran Turismo: Prologue series. To me it feels like a ploy to turn beta code into a cheap cash grab. It’s like ordering a Martini and being handed a glass containing an olive and a conspicuous lack of gin, vermouth and anything else.
That said, it’s a nice indication of how the actual, proper, delicious and brilliant actual game is coming along.
We’ve just received some info on GT5 Prologue, most interestingly complete with the full list of 71 cars. Unfortunately there are only six tracks in Prologue: they are the Eiger Nordwand, Daytona International Speedway, the London City Track, Fuji Speedway, Suzuka and the High Speed Ring.
Prologue will let you race through the tracks in different layouts, race online, has some sort of Top Gear tie-in and should give PS3 owners a tasty scrap of the potential they invested in. GT5: Prologue will be available sometime this month, and the full GT5 will be available roughly the same time next year, but don’t quote me on that one.
Here’s that full list of cars. Screenshots follow.

All those babies are officially licensed. And on a related note, I pity the fool who still owns an SDTV.
