Kane's Wrath now on shelves. This article now comes with a side of video, in addition to a main course of text.

The astute shoppers who ducked into JB/EB/Game probably noticed that the new Command and Conquer 3 expansion, Kane’s Wrath, has been moved from the Coming Soon section into the New Releases section.

You would have heard that here and seen the video on Friday; however I got the video export settings wrong. This is something that wouldn’t have happened had the irritating NTSC system and the annoying interlacing hack never been dreamt up. With video wrangling-induced angst aside, on with the show:

We know the following about Kane’s Wrath:

You get 13 single player missions and 30 minutes of shiny, characteristic Red Alert video to break up the action and tell the story

There are now six sub-factions that modify the three races, for a total of nine races in multiplayer

Epic units have been introduced (taking a leaf out of Supreme Commander, perhaps?).

There’s a key to be part of the public beta of Red Alert 3 in the box (there’s also a key in the box for CnC3: Limited Collection, which contains the bundle of Command Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars and Kane’s Wrath. Bonus points if she opens it).

There’s an Xbox 360 release in the works, and we’ve been told that it’ll have a new interface called “Command Stick”.

It is out there now, and it is a Command and Conquer game. You know the rest.
