Cut up a chicken and wear its small intestine like a badge of honour - the very latest eRazor patch (release 1.0799 if you're keeping track) for your favourite flight sim has been released, and the news is… it is good. Our very own team of Topgun pilots have been giving it a serious work over, and the few times I've managed to grab their attention in between sorties I've gotten a big thumbs up - except for the time Bennett thought I was a MIG and tried to shoot me down.

Seriously, that's how much more realism you get.

Here are a few of the additions the eRazor patch offers, and the read me file covers many, many pages more of improvements: increased frame rate, numerous bug and AI fixes, and greatly improved weapon modeling. The patch also heralds a move to a DirectX-based engine, and it looks gooood.

Falcon 4 was released in 1998 to mixed reviews. It was undoubtedly the most epic and ambitious flight sim ever developed, but it was so riddled with bugs and unlocked features as to be almost unplayable. Nonetheless, a core of dedicated fans took up where the developers let off, and now the promise of Falcon 4 is a reality.
