No, it's not April Fool's Day yet, nor are we having a silly-fit in the office - this is for real. You've all seen various expensive, one-off solutions for disabled people to use PCs, or experimental systems that follow where your eyeball looks onscreen to control your cursor, but now that kind of control is available for everyone for a relatively little cost. I've no idea if it works, but the NaturalPoint TrackIR system is kinda cool.

Basically you get a little unit that sits in your monitor, and then you can control your cursor with either a tiny little 'wand' that sits in the palm of your hand for presentations, a ring on your finger for laptops, or, the coolest, a little white dot, bindy-style, on your forehead. Computer control, and enlightenment in one fell swoop.

The magical little dingus works using four LED lights in the receiver unit that reflect light onto a camera in to the receiver from the either the ring (which has a white nub on top) or the dot between your eyes. The wand uses an infrared beam straight into the camera. You can click and drag using wither special hotkeys, or by configuring the software to 'dwell-click', whereby simply hovering over an icon will click on it. But will it work with Counterstrike? The TrackIR creators seem to think so, but I've yet to find anything that can match the good old keyboard and mouse combo.
