Bennett took home a new PS2 game over the weekend, and included with the game is the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo. This morning Bennett was absolutely bouncing in glee (not an unusual phenomenon), and here's a little piece he wrote to explain why:

'I finally got to try the PS2 Metal Gear Solid 2 Demo on the weekend - one word to describe it - MINDBLOWING. Until now I have been very sceptical of the PS2, not even considering that it could be a rival to the PC, but after seeing this brief demo in action, I have to say I'm considering purchasing a PS2! Cinematic quality graphics, with absolutely incredible animation. I couldn't tell whether I was watching full motion video or a cut scene using the game's graphic engine, that is how good the graphics are. The best rain effects ever! of the week - this game has got me hooked. I will not rest until I track down a complete version of the game. If they can make the game long enough, this could be the first killer title for the PS2, and will no doubt help ship a shitload of consoles. Very similar style of gameplay to MGS1, but looking like a fully pre-rendered movie.....mmmmmmm'
