Here's a little something I came across in my morning pre-coffee surf. It's an expensive toy (relatively), you have to order it from the US, and it's not for everyone - those caveats aside I think it's a pretty cool dingus that I'd snap up given the right opportunity. The Memora Servio personal server; chock full of funky stuff for the modern (read: 1337) computician.

The Servio sits between whatever broadband connection you have and the rest of your network (PC or Mac), acting as firewall, file server and connection sharing device. A mess of purpose built applications also let you fiddle with your happy snaps (or pr0n, let's be honest), MP3s, (probably violating all kinds of copyright, why lie?), and other files (of who knows what level of dubiousness). Even niftier, it can act as your own personal email server, letting you use whatever addresses you want, for as many people as you want.

It is, or so the PR flacks at Memora would have us believe, easy to set up, and frankly that looks to be the case. There's a mess of support on the Web site, which could be very useful given that there is no local avenue of support, and, even better, the box actually looks kinda cool. Check it out.
