A month ago it was dead, but now, like some mighty leviathan of the deep, Harpoon4 has reared its majestic head from the depths - it lives again. Once upon a time developers of the title, Game Studios, had thrown the project into the can, but now, Ubi Soft stablemate Ultimation has decided there's life yet in the franchise.

Apparently it was a group effort that got the project, based upon Naval-savant Larry Bond's excellent war game, back in the saddle. Support for Harpoon came from both fans and developers within Ubi Soft. Ultimation is also currently developing both Silent Hunter II and Destroyer Comman, so its naval experience is quite high.

Harpoon4 (the fourth in the series, by the way) is a game of grand naval warfare in the modern theatre featuring hyper accurate vessels from navies around the world. Don't ask when it will be out, 'cause no one's currently telling.
