Telstra's ADSL shenanigans get even murkier

Yesterday it came to light that Telstra BigPond is changing its acceptable use policy to reflect a new 3GB monthly download cap. Outrage to this has been, well, extensive to say the least. One look at our own atomic forums should persuade anyone that this is far from a welcome move, and today the news has just gotten worse.

Telstra has now revealed that it no longer intends to give 30 days fair warning on changes to the AUP, and will only warn people if it believes it serves the majority of users. Combined with the new cap, this is worrying on the extreme. Personally I find the cap just bearable, but the fact Telstra has now decided that we don't need to be made aware of changes is simply ludicrous.
