IBM has gone and outdone itself yet again. Not content to beat Grandmasters of Chess at their own game, Big Blue has now upped the ante on monitor details levels. It's latest display, the T220, has more than 9 million pixels on a 22.2in screen.

That's a lot of detail, but before you start dreaming of watching those DivXed Limp Bizkit videos in super high resolution. The T220 costs about $US22,000, and your average PC simply cannot pump out that much data. What it is meant for is high end imaging in fields such as medicine and weather forecasting, and any other area where too much detail is never enough.
