Napster goes sleepy bo-bos

It seems that beleaguered Internet music sharing service Napster just can't do anything right. It's been sued yet again, but not by any of the big record companies, and in fact it has nothing to do with copyright at all, but with possible damages

It seems that beleaguered Internet music sharing service Napster just can't do anything right. It's been sued yet again, but not by any of the big record companies, and in fact it has nothing to do with copyright at all, but with possible damages liability. The company in question is the Centerpointe Research Institute, and it produces meditation music to relax and aide those who find it difficult to get to sleep.

What they Research Institute is worried about is the fact that when its files are traded on Napster, they do not come with the warnings that company normally sells its products with. Apparently, if you download any of the Institute's music to listen to at the wrong moment, you might find yourself drifting off to cosy sleep while operating heavy machinery, or attaining a high state of bliss while driving down the freeway.

If any of us needed any further proof that Napster is evil shold look no further than this. Down with Napster, I say, burn effigies of Shawn Fanning in the streets, and… zzzzzzzzzz-snore-zzzzzzzzzzz
