The Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Enforcement Amendment Bill 2001, which Atomic first brought to your attention here, has now passed through both the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council. However, all is not yet said and done. NSW Attorney-General Bob Debus has passed the proposed legislation to the 'Standing Committee on Social Issues' for review, results of which are due in June 2002. Mr Debus passed the proposed legislation into review due to numerous concerns expressed by lobby groups and individuals within the community. W007! This is a beautiful example of how the online community can make a real difference when it bands together on the big issues.

Despite this small success, our work is not yet done. The inquiry is now accepting submissions from the public, and will be doing so until the cut off date of 8th February, 2002. Tomorrow's major papers will carry an advertisement concerning how and where you can submit to the committee on this matter.
