According to this report, Pulsent's technology is capable of 'full-screen, broadcast-quality video to consumers at a transmission speed of 1.1 Mbit/sec'. Pretty outlandish claims when you consider that around 20 years of research has gone into the MPEG standards to get them where they are today, as opposed to a mere 4 years of development time for Pulsent.

Pulsent is yet to demonstrate its 'revolutionary' technology and opinion remains divided as to whether the company can live up to its claims. However, all should be revealed at the upcoming NAB convention in Las Vegas where Pulsent Corporation plans to demonstrate the new technology.
