German railway company Deutsche Bahn is reportedly planning to file suit against Google Inc today due to the search engine returning certain results pertaining to sabotage of rail links and systems.

According to this article, Deutsche Bahn is also preparing suits against Yahoo! and AltaVista for the same reasons.

Published online by German magazine Radikal, the articles in question describe how to 'cut power on parts of the railway system' in order to stop trains carrying nuclear materials. Both articles have been available online for over four years.

The lawsuits come after Deutsche Bahn won a case against the ISP hosting said articles, XS4ALL, in Amsterdam District Court. XS4ALL has since blocked access to the articles in question. When questioned why Deutsche Bahn would want to sue over a simple link when the original articles were no longer available, a spokesperson was quoted as saying 'Even if the pages no longer exist on XS4ALL sites, we want the search engines to remove the link because it still advertises a handbook for destruction. People will start looking for it elsewhere and we don't want that'

Poor Deutsche Bahn. Being the anarchist, anti-establishment freedom-for-all, information-wants-to-be-free type people we are (as well as being HUGE Google fans), we found a mirror of the articles. You can peruse copies of the articles in question at Cryptome.org.
