In the dark future of humanity there is only war - and beta testing.
New just in from THQ's Dawn of War community site - the beta for the next game will be made available on January 21!
But there's a catch - the early release is an exclusive for Dawn of War: Soulstorm owners. Soulstorm was the last expansion released for the original game, and featured the pious Sisters of Battle.
Here's the skinny from the announcement itself:
"The beta will be hosted via Steam and offered exclusively to Warhammer® 40,000™: Dawn of War - Soulstorm owners on January 21, followed by a worldwide public release on January 28. The beta will feature all four playable races, five multiplayer maps, and Microsoft’s Games for Windows - LIVE TrueSkill Matchmaking."
Hmmm... Tyranids... *drools*
Anyway, those blasphemous thoughts aside, the full game is scheduled for release on February 23 this year. We're expecting to have a review of the game in issue 98, so keep an eye out!

official announcement

I can't wait for this game.
Poor form though to igmore the supporters of the game who bought the game and two other expansions; especially considering SS was the least impressive of the bunch.
A lame attempt at a cash grab!

I couldnt wait, i purchased soulstorm on steam - All good though as soulstorm will probably be fun.
Best part soulstorm only costed $7.50, so a full game and a beta for just 8 bucks not bad =)
DOW - 2 Here i come!!!!!!
