Gator Corporation, famous for its spyware Internet Explorer plug-ins that allow ads of Gator’s choosing to be displayed on a user’s desktop, is being dragged into court yet again.

A consortium of publishers is suing the company over its practice of displaying ads based on the URL a user is visiting. The consortium asserts this "violates the publishers' copyright and trademark rights", altering the display away from what was originally intended by the copyright holders.
