Hello, I'm Ben Mansill, the Editor of Atomic.

We need a new God. A new super-talent. A writer gifted in knowing tech and being able to write about it.

Please see my recent thread in our very popular General thread for more info.

It may be of interest to you.

Here's the go:

There's a job going at Atomic, a good one.

We need a new staff writer. 'staff Writer' means many things. It means product reviewer, opinionator, it means being one who knows all about tech - PC or otherwise. It means one who can be an expert on just about anything Atomic.

There's a lot of you out there that meet that desciription. We need absolute excellence. Which you know, knowing the Atomic way, it means being able to make the stuff that appears in Atomic truly Atomic.

You must see inside, past, and around all new tech and be able to write about it in the most perfect, shiny, wonderful and comprehensible way possible. You must be so terribly excited about Atomic Stuff that you're compelled to communicate that to all in the highest manner of intelligence and nut grinding enthusiasm possible.

Many of you reading this may be in a good IT job, many will be smart Atomicans, some will be passing strangers. We want another Atomic writer. You know Atomic. Are you able to slip right in and deliver the goods, as well as purposefully drive our mission?

This is a full-time job, based in Sydney. Salary is commensurate with skill and experience. You do not necessarily need previous media experience. But, you need to be a natural writer and you need to be able to communicate that love to a wide audience, in an appropriate manner.

Professional writers should contribute additional material.

This position is mostly to enhance our growing sucess. Organisationally, we're moving Zeddicus into a corporate Sys Admin role. That's what he wants to do and we're very happy that he's really really excited about that move. Zedd will be helping build the v2 site, along with making ongoing Atomic network improvements. That's his skill, that's what Zedd wants to learn. So that's what we're giving him.

So. We need someone that can take good care of the forums, write good stuff and make the Atomic site, and the mag, even better.

This job is primarily Site Mastah. Although mucho contribution to the mag is expected. It's a flexible position. The brightest spark is the likliest spark, as long as you're a natural writer. Very important that.

Hit me.

Email your CV + a 500 word opinion piece covering a subject of your choosing, plus a 500 word review of a product, of your choosing, to me, at: bmansill@atomicmpc.com.au.

The subjects you choose will reflect your understanding of what is typically Atomic.

I want someone that cares, not a prima donna. Someone who loves Atomic, the Community, who loves tech down and dirty and CAN WRITE. And can handle massive workloads and killer overtime. Big future awaits...

Who are you? Young, old, all considered. You must be 18+ though, and as I said, prepared to start now, or soon, in Sydney.

Note: This is the only place we're advertising. Only Atomicans will suffice :}

Applicants will be contacted for interview in the coming weeks. A desk in Atomic HQ needs a person to decorate it and entertain us, and you.
