Hey! Great to see you! You look great – that V2 avatar really suits you nicely.

As you can see, we’ve decorated just a bit. It’s the same old house; we’ve just rebuilt it from the ground up, using all-new high-tech bricks. A spectacularly talented interior designer did the tarting-up, while our architects built us some new rooms and the engineers rewired the joint so it all does many more tricks.

As you can see, we've decorated just a bit. It's the same old house; we've just rebuilt it from the ground up, using all-new high-tech bricks. A spectacularly talented interior designer did the tarting-up, while our architects built us some new rooms and the engineers rewired the joint so it all does many more tricks.

Out the back, we've put a new engine in the garage. She's a screamer and can carry many more passengers, faster than ever before in greater comfort. The Atomic V2 screamer server was built for us by the most neighbourly Acer. These good friends of Atomic donated our new abode out of the goodness of their hearts, and because they wanted to be known as the engine house behind the Maximum Power Server. Atomic thanks Acer for such magnanimous community-spirited powerage.

We're sporting a custom-specced Acer Altos G700. At the moment we've left the decoration and aesthetic extensions for a later project, but there's two Atomic stickers on da box as a symbolic first-step forward.

Under the hood of the V2 Box:
* Dual 1.8GHz Pentium 4 XEONs, upgradable to 4 x CPUs Hyperthreaded.
* 3x Hotswappable 10kRPM Ultra160 SCSI HDDs for a total of 36GB in
* RAID5 configuration
* 1x onboard Gigabit ethernet
* 1x 100Mbit PCI LAN
* Dual 450w redundant power
* 1GB PC2100 DDR
*ATI RageXL
* 4 x black swivel-mounted wheels.

Behind the mini-bar, the hosts have a dazzling new array of knobs and buttons to make sure the lighting is just right, and that it never gets too dark and gloomy. They can quickly summon the bouncers to do their nasty business, or you can tell a bouncer yourself if you see any trouble – remember though, these tough and scary people don't like to be bothered with petty squabbles!

New guests to our house will be asked to leave their own house-email address, so we can be sure they're a real guest, not someone planning on crashing our little party.

Would you like a drink?

This party is really filling up! Just look at how many people are here! Now you can come into our new house any old time and know how many of your friends are here – before you even open the front door.

You'll notice too that you can quickly talk to any of your friends in private, – or leave them a wee note on the fridge if they're not home.

May I top you up?

So easy it is now to plan your very own party, too! We've made a calendar that won't ever fall off the wall so your social life is now easier than ever to plan.

Heard a good one lately? Tell us! The best conversations heard around here will surely glow – Atomic Glow. Wey hey for that crazy old democracy again!

Missed a good one? Use the way-back machine to find your favourite conversations or announcements – again and again! Oh the bliss!

'Tink Tink! I have an announcement to make! Not everyone is here, so I'll just leave it where everyone can see it, sticky at the top of the pile. Conversation getting out of hand? Has the point been made to death? Well, let's just lock that one up then, but leave it around for all to still enjoy.

You do look lovely tonight. But, excuse me – your name badge seems a little different? I see that you are one of those impressive new Champions. I hear that it's quite like being an Immortal, but from the old party. Why don't you have a play on the trampoline with the Gurus? I believe a couple of Titan's have been spotted in the sandpit too, but there's only a few of them and they're certainly VIPs in this house party.

The last time you came to this party there were Immortals everywhere. Lovely people, too. They were pretty cool and they sure did deserve the comfy couch. We've reserved an even more luxurious couch for Immortals now. It's just over there, under the golden palm trees, on top of the marble tower. It's a bit empty right now though…

Do enjoy yourself here. Your hosts are happiest when you're enjoying yourself.

We've stuck a sign up on the front door for you. It's got a nice list of what's new around here. Best you have a read so you can get to know the new place a bit better.

If you can't work out how to use the toilet, or figure out something about the new house, please walk over to the website forum and see if the answer is there for you. Your hosts will visit and help you there too. If you find any holes in the walls, or peeling paint, do tell us at v2@atomicmpc.com.au.

So, please go ahead and have a look around our new house and pull up a pew with your old mates. The only thing that's the same around here now is the quality of the guest list.
