X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Raven SoftwareWe've already had a look at screens from this movie tie-in, and we're getting an idea of how the game will actually play.
And the answer is... bloody.
The developers believe that Wolverine fans want a slash-fest, and that's what they've delivered. Some reports have suggested the level of blood and gore is almost disturbing, but all agree that they level of visceral violence the game presents is very satisfying.
THose who've played the game compare it strongly to God of War. The fighting is close in and brutal, but mixed with a lot of puzzle solving and platform-style sequences.
Wolfenstein, Raven SoftwareComing in almost under the radar is the latest excursion into weird war 2, with the eponymously titled Wolfenstein.
The game takes place in the fictional city of Isenstadt, and is the usual mish-mash of killing nazis, defeating occult threats, and any number of combinations of the two. The big new feature shown at Comic Con is called The Veil. This is an ability that allows you to slip from the real world into a more shadowy realm that's not quite our own.
From within the Veil, you'll have new powers, access to diffferent routes through levels, and even be able to sport weaknesses in otherwise nigh-impossible to kill enemies. Oh, and everything looks blue. Spooky!
The game also features highly destructible environments and nifty, kill-entire-squads-of-nazi-goons at a time weaponry.
Ghostbusters: The Video GameNot only is this game finally seeing the light of day, but it's meant to be a great game and the next best thing to the third film in the series. The voice actors and even the writers are all familiar names, and you'll take on the roll of a new guy in the Ghostbusting team - the Rookie.
The game is kind squad-based-lite, with Venkman, Spengler and the rest joining you for portions of the game, but without any ability to actually control them. To give you an idea of the game's scope, devs demoed a section just before the fight with the Stay-puft Marshmallow Man, and this is about the fifth level.
Oh, and old Pufty is only a mid-level boss in the grand scheme of things.
We'll keep you up to day with more game news as it happens at NYCC.
