The games of New York Comic Con redux

Infamous (Sucker Punch)
It's a simple plot - the main character is given super powers by a mysterious explosion. Hilarity - and many explosions - ensue.

Shown off-site at a special Sony event, the game is looking really good, with an open world that you can explore and run around choosing to do either good things (and develop good powers) or bad things (and develop, you guessed it, evil powers).

The game features some impressive-looking badguys and a mess of climbing around the landscape. In fact, there's a two-man team dedicated to nothing but the climbing side of the game.

Battlefield 1943: Pacific (Electronic Arts)
Yep, the game that started the whole Battlefield fad (though I guess you could be pedantic and say that was actually Codename: Eagle) is back with a shiny new remake.

The game is a strange combination of next-gen and old-school, easy-to-play mind-sets. You get destructable trees and buildings (much the same as Battlefield: Bad Company) and a modern engine that looks just fantastic by all accounts, as the next-gen offerings, but you also get a very simply three classes (Scout, Infantry and Riflemen), unlimted ammo and replenishing health.

The game's expected to cost something like $US20 when it gets released this Aussie winter, and will only take up about 350MB. We're not sure about this Battlefield: Lite approach, but we also can't wait to hop in a Sherman and pwn Nazis until the wee small hours of the morning. Again.
