ASUS Lamborghini Laptop is more than over the top

More tech inside this lappy than your average gaming rig!

ASUS have had a line of gaming lappies for quite some time now, even having one with a 4870X2 in it, but the Lamborghini is another beast entirely.

The specs are impressively decadent, with one whole terabyte of solid state storage (supposedly with read and write speeds in excess of 200MB/s), four gigabytes of DDR3 system memory, a GT130M with another gigabyte of memory and a Quad core processor.

While the GPU isn't the gruntiest (it's just a rebadged 9600GSO), the rest of the specs are impressive. There's even a 16" 16:9 LCD as well as a Blu-Ray drive, so it's pretty insane for a lappy to have all that gear in it.

We had a look at it yesterday when ASUS came in to the Labs for a meeting, and it's styled very much like the actual cars, and is very reminiscent of Alienware, especially the bevelled top.

Their previous Lamborghini lappies have been incredibly expensive, and this one is set to top the price of those by a huge amount - just how much we don't know yet.

Head over to TomsHardware to see a little more of the lappy, and hopefully we can get ASUS to give us one for a full review.

I don't normally get excited about PCs (I'm a Mac fan, in case you hadn't guessed :) but that just sounds downright sexy. And sci-fi. And awesome. And everything. mmmmmmmmm......../Drools

Why do all that to a laptop and then stiff you on the graphics solution? It's not like anyone paying for that kind of thing would mind another $500-600 for a proper gaming solution.

flip,
They want to sell them, not limit their market share by selling too few of them at too high a spec and price point.

As far as lappies go...
As it is a giant of a rig :)
