Video: The new Total War launches, and we've got the trailer to get you all excited and ready for battle!
There's not point beating around the bush - we love the Total War series, and have done since Shogun, the first game. But that love was as nothing to the passion we have for Empire, the latest epic addition to Total War's fine collection.
We've been playing a lot of the preview code, and with the game's release today we're just as excited to get to grips wth the full version. In fact, we've just gotten hold of the Collector's Edition of the game, and it's a lovely thing to behold.
It's in a wooden box, featuring the game itself, a fold-out map of the campaign provinces, and a neat Empire-branded compass and hip flask. A hip flask! At last, a game that understands that it's best played with a tot of rum or whiskey!
The CE also has six 'elite' units exclusive to this edition - Roger's Rangers, an Ottoman Organ Gun, Ghoorkas, Bulkeley's Regiment, Corso Terrestre Guerillas and the mighty HMS Victory. Nelson's own flagship for the WIN!
