Two cards so similar, it takes nothing but a BIOS flash to get you the 'latest' one.
The GTS250 card has become known as one of the biggest annoyances in tech for a little while now - after all, it's nothing new.
In fact it's so similar to the old that you can take a 9800GTX+ and flash it with a new BIOS, making yourself a GTS250 for no extra money!
CPU3D have done just this, and have made a guide of sorts on how to use Nvflash to change the VGA BIOS.
They took a TwinTech GTS250 reference card and a Palit 9800GTX+, then simply copied the BIOS over. Performance info is included, but oddly they don't have a direct comparison in performance between before and after - most likely because it was identical.
Of course this should only be done for the fun of it, and there's no real benefit for doing it (unless you've a rampant need for killing your warranty as fast as possible - even then there's better ways), but it's simple enough to do.
Head to CPU3D's guide to have a read and (if you've bothered to do it) post any performance differences you've had here - we're interested to see.
