Plug a pc into your car's dashboard and surf the web while out on the town.
We haven't looked at much VIA tech before, simply because they've been too wimpy to bother with (sorry VIA) in most Atomican's eyes.
One area that wimpy computing can be handy in is mobile computing - in this case, automobile computing.
They've just released a teeny-tiny motherboard called the IVP-7500 with an 8-layer (incredibly complex) PCB at a size of only 11.4cm x18.6cm. It's got a built in 1GHz Eden processor with passive cooling, and one DDR2 SODIMM slot for up to 1GB of memory.
There's a huge amount of outputs, and IDE for a 1.8 inch harddrive, as well as bluetooth, FM transmission and inbuilt GPS.
Perhaps the coolest part about it is that it comes with Embedded XP, Linux or Win CE (Compact Edition), so is more than enough to watch videos on.
All that tech can be packed into a normal DIN slot in a car (where the CD player goes), and run off the car's 12V battery instead of a PSU.
We for one support the packing of a computer into any space possible, and if we can check the net while we're out and about then great!
Head over to TomsHardware for a little more about the miniature mobo.
