R2D2 Case Mod

Beep Beep Whistle Click Beep!

We love modding here at Atomic. We love Star Wars too.

So when someone takes both of those loves, fuses it with a little computing, and takes a lot of pictures, we're taken to a special place that only the very nerdly types will know  - techy heaven.

Made from a simple rubbish bin, bits of offcuts and some effort, Frenk Janse lovingly crafted his R2D2 to have a webcam, glowing feet, inbuilt speakers for authentic R2D2-esque noises and even a fan controller!

While it's not quite the same amount of detail that the Battlestar Galactica mod was, it's still a very impressive take on the R2D2 mould, and definitely worth a long, lusting look.

You know if he hooked up some motors etc. to it (and gave it wheels) and then gave it AI, he could have his own working R2-D2.
Either way, WIN.
