Essential Linkage: The terrifying Cylons of the past, in the future of the past. Or something.
We lurves us some battlestar here at Atomic, and not only that - steampunk holds a special place in our hearts too.
Steampunk (apart from being a comic book series) is a genre of fantasy that became popular in the late eighties, and featured high-tech devices as they would appear in a different timeline where instead of electricity and other advanced techniques, we still used steam.
There's been everything made for it too, from steampunked electric guitars, laptops, wristwatches and even a steampunk computer - but this is something far nerdier than even those combined.
DVICE.com ran a competition for entrants to submit their own paintings, designs and models for a Steampunked Cylon and they are drop-dead gorgeous to look at.
