The reboot of the Star Trek franchise hasn't opened yet, but the sequel is already planned.
Seminal Hollywood news source, Variety, is reporting that a team has already been hired to start penning the sequel to JJ Abram's Star Trek.
Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, and Damon Lindelof are the reported scribes; Orci and Kurtzman are the team behind the current film (which, from what we've seen already, is looking great), as well as the writers of Transformers and cult TV hit Fringe. Lindelof is best known for his work on Lost.
Since they're all buddies of Abrams, it's a good bet Paramount have their eyes on him to helm the sequel.
We can only assume that Trek 2 will not contain any wrath, or characters called Khan.
