When no-one else will save them, PETA steps in to save their skins.
There's been some funny protests, depressing ones and even some pointless ones before - but this baby seal-saving one is no laughing matter.
Seemingly caused by the Canadian seal slaughter, which in and of itself is terrible, they're telling people in a way that hasn't been tried before - straight to their WoW account.
There were 270,000 seals killed in 2007, and a further 275,000 killed in 2008, so the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) decided people should be stopping it - the rules of the so called hunt are brutal.
Just check out this excerpt from the site to see:
(1.1) No person shall use a club or hakapik to strike a seal older than one year unless the seal has been shot with a firearm. (2) Every person who strikes a seal with a club or hakapik shall strike the seal on the top of the skull until it has been crushed and shall immediately palpate the cranium to confirm that the skull has been crushed.

Not exactly pretty. The battle to create awareness about the seals will occur on April 11th at 1pm EST, and they've even got a Facebook event page for it.
Check out PETA's blog for more info about how to help, and post here if you think this will make any difference.
