Set phasers to tattoo

Fancy air-powered tattoo gun looks just like a weapon!

Tattoos usually transmit a message about who you are as a person - whether that be big tough bikie or fanatic Hello Kitty fan - we actually found a mix of both those things!

Tech behind placing them on skin hasn't changed in just over a hundred years, and the current electric coil tattoo machines aren't just awkward to use, but they're also difficult to clean (and no-one wants to share blood with the person before them).

RKS, a design company based in America - as well as Neuma, have made a brand-new device powered completely by air - not only does this mean it's quieter, but it can also be thrown into an autoclave (steam steriliser) for complete and easy cleaning.

The damn thing looks like a phaser with bayonet attachment, and the cherry red casing is so alike to Iron Man that we'd want our own tattoo gun, if only to inflict amusing designs on the less awake people around.

We likey!

Still looks awkward to hold :P

And going by the looks of it, it still using needles to penetrate the skin and transfer ink, but a pneumatic engine to drive it - Thought it was gonna be something like "Air injected ink"

What ever happened to those air syringes I wonder....

These things are horrible. They don't make much noise so the only thing you can hear is the needle plucking in and out of the skin which is not a good thing to listen to.
