Video: See how you can conquer the environment with fluid ease in the steampunk world of Damnation.

Damnation, the latest game from developer Blue Omega, is "Set to take the shooter off the rails and out of the corridors", or so the PR would have you believe. Given that the concept of open world gaming really isn't anything new, Damnation better have some pretty fluid mechanics to be making such a bold claim!

This developer insight video seems to hint that Atari and Blue Omega may be on the something. The game's set in a wide open, highly vertical world, and it looks like you can bounce around like a freerunner with a speed addiction. What's more, every trick you can do can be replicated by the AI, so we're expected some pretty intense fighting action.

But don't take our word for it - watch the video yourself!

Damnation is out on all major platforms on the 28th of May. Check out for info at www.damnationthegame.com.
