New Arkham Asylum trailer is full of BIFF!

Video: See how the fighting's shaping up in the latest Batman video game - KAP-POW!

First up, some bad news.

We had been expecting to see Batman: Arkham Asylum hitting PCs and consoles toward the end of June. However, it's now looking like the wait is going to be much longer - more in the area of another three or so months! In a statement released to GameInformer, reps from Eidos and Warner Bros had this to say:

"Eidos Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment can today confirm that Batman: Arkham Asylum will be released at the end of summer 2009. This additional time will allow us to ensure Batman: Arkham Asylum is of the highest quality for gamers."

Well... poo.

But... Good news! There's a new trailer out showing you the levels of BAM! and WAP! we can expect in the game.

Well, it looks pretty neat to us, and given that the trailer seems to be cutting out some really nasty locks and holds, it should be pretty gruesome. But we really hope that bossfights - like the one featured against Bane - aren't reduced to boring Quick Time events.

Boring button mashing - just say NO.

I hope for a decent plot and characterization..., the graphics will be a bonus if that's the case.
