New Borderlands video reveals cool cars, big bugs

Video: Get a moving glimpse of life on the Borderlands, in this new gameplay trailer.

We've been getting quietly excited about Gearbox and 2K Games' Borderlands for a while now. With its future retro sci-fi setting, lovely cell-shaded graphics, and the promise of endlessly customisable and changeable weapons and gear, this is looking like a deep and intriguing first person shooter.

Now, we finally get to see the still images come alive in this E3 teaser video. 

There's some vehicle combat, some very intriguing looking aliens, and some hints of just how wide and varied the terrain in the game is going to be - and a sneak look at a mess of cool handguns.

Borderlands is due for release in the third quarter of this year on all major platforms.
