Get a closer look at Warriors and Scouts, and learn how to guarantee your copy of this graphically beautiful new MMO.

Pre-order details of the upcoming angelic MMO Aion have popped up, as well as a small but perfectly formed batch of new screen shots.

From the 13th of July all three versions of the game - an EB Games Collector's Edition, a Limited Edition from GAME stores and a standard edition - will be available for pre-order ahead of the game's 23rd of September release date. Pre-ordering comes with the usual array of MMO advantages: guaranteed access to all Beta events, pre-launch access to game servers, exclusive in-game items and character and server pre-selection benefits.

There's also an Aion prize pack to be won - getting in early certainly seems to have some neat priveleges.

FInally, to whet your appetite. we've got a gallery of new shots, and info on how two of the game's classes break down.

The Warrior class breaks down into two sub-specialisations...

The Templar
Templars are brave souls who must hold the frontline, using their shields to block and parry attacks while waiting for a weakness to show itself before retaliating. Templars become more powerful when struck; they can only reveal their full potential when they are in the midst of combat.

The Gladiator
Gladiators are the true melee masters of Atreia; vicious and beastly - constantly training to perfect the various fighting styles their class excels in. Much like the Warrior class that they emerged from, a Gladiator's power comes from sheer, brutal strength - to see one of these behemoths in combat is a truly awe-inspiring sight.

And the Scout class breaks down similarly, but with different focuses:

The Ranger
Rangers are experienced Scouts who have shunned the idea of working within a regular military unit, choosing instead to work alone or in specialist teams. They are solitary figures with finely honed survival instincts and the ability to endure even in the harshest of environments. Regarding their weaponry, Rangers are expert archers, and can set traps in anticipation of an oncoming enemy. Trained in the use of daggers, so are able to engage in combat regardless of the enemy's proximity.

The Assassin
Assassins are a mysterious class. It is clear that these men and women are valuable characters indeed, able to strike silently and with devastating consequences at vulnerable targets, effectively bringing down whole groups with a single action. Whispers and rumor say they follow no god, and instead follow the star of death for instruction. Assassins themselves are fairly weak, and when prematurely discovered, rarely survive the inevitable consequences.

As Aion gets closer to release, we hope to have more info on the rest of the game's classes. For full pre-order details, check out this site.

For a moment when I saw the title, I thought it was a brand called Aion making new displays (monitors)

That's pretty pathetic on the Australian distributors part. One of the main reasons to pre order the game was to get into every closed beta event that started over a month ago, so most people would of already ordered a collectors edition from overseas or just bought the digital collectors edition straight from NCSoft by now.

Judging by what EB is charging for that collectors edition you're better off just to buy the digital version and get all the in game perks and not worry about a hideous model or a soundtrack...
