TRON Legacy shaping up to be awesome

TRON fans get another installment and a brand new trailer!

TRON is one of those movies that you couldn't have missed in computing circles; if you've not seen it then you've probably heard of it.

If not you need to, but irrespective of the original 1982 film is the sequel - TRON Legacy.

It's shaping up to be a visually stunning revisit to the same computery world as the original TRON, but re-imagined in a graphically intensive - and smooth - way.

Release is set for 2011 with Jeff Bridges returning as Kevin Flynn, so check out the trailer below for some incredibly heart-warming visuals, as we cross our fingers for a faithful sequel.

Ooooh yeah! I posted this in the forums on Saturday.

I was excited then so I re-watched the original with the missus on Saturday night (she was a Tron virgin!)

Having rewatched the original, I'm doubly excited about this sequel.

I think I wet myself from excitement when I first watched this trailer (especially in the HD version via a doubleclick to YouTube) - I'm a huge fan of the original.

Good on you for showing her!

She looked at me rather puzzled at the end and said "Looked great...but what does it mean?"

(sry, first post. don't know what protocals are used in the comment box for hyper links.)

It's looking a lot like Flynn might be the antagonist in this one. He smiles at what he sees below. Why is he BACK in the digital world .. well established I might say. This should prove Very interesting.

Also, they did infact get Bruce Boxlightner. Look here:http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000310/

I hope that they don't destroy the original. Between Tron and The Black Hole, I think at least 12 weeks of my life have been spent watching them :) I wonder if this means we'll see Tron 3.0 as a game then!?
