Everyone wants one, right?
PC Maker Lenovo has decided to enter what it calls the "digital lifestyle" market with four new desktops and one laptop.
This apparently is just an opening salvo in Lenovo's cunning plan to flog home theatre PCs and home servers.
The IdeaCentre Q700 is a home theatre PC that's paired with the IdeaCentre D400, the company's first Windows Home Server box. Both will give you a penny change from $US500.
The company has also released two Atom-based nettops, the Q100 and Q110, which will be priced at $US249 and $US349 respectively. Oh, and there is a U450p notebook, which will be priced at $US799.
All of these are designed to slot Lenovo into the home entertainment business that IBM pulled out of years ago.
The Q700 is powered by an Intel 5200 Core Duo processor and comes with a choice of 320G, 500G or 640GB hard drives. It has 4GB of non-upgradable memory and graphics are powered by an Intel GMA X5400. It also sports eight USB ports, plus an eSATA port for external hard drives.
The unit ships with Gigabit Ethernet and 802.11b/g WiFi. A TV tuner is optional, but sadly Windows Vista Home Premium 64 is not.
