Putting porn on the PS3

The PS3 wants to get hot and heavy.

Games consoles are (funnily enough) great for playing games on, but there's a company out there that reckon they're just perfect for some porn.

Vivid Entertainment is that company, a porn-producing mob that are in talks with Sony to get their content distributed across the Playstation network.

Apparently motivated to approach Sony after a rival porn company won a high-definition streaming service (Japan-only), they've high hopes of spreading wares far and wide.

Of course it'll be locked in an Adults Only section, and will most likely be a rent-or-buy service, but for those who need a healthy dose of porn every now and then this could be what you've been waiting for.

Take porn, video games, movies and throw in a beer or two and most people are going to be very happy with this potential deal.

mudjimba Sep 12, 2009 3:15 AM	Sick do i get this love for my 360? But really, why the hell would someone pay for pr0n on their console, when the internet their computer connects to is FULL of it. And besides, doesn't ps3 have a browser now? And how would that effect sales for children? I'm sure their parents aren't going to be like, "Ohh sweet HD porn streaming, Johny's gana love this!". Whether it's advertised on the box or not, disabled by default or not, rumors will spread and exaggerate. The average Johny already has a hard enough time getting his nerd on with Nazi anti computing parents.

pumpjockey02 Sep 13, 2009 8:30 PM	this is coming for the ps3 and I reckon microsoft will follow, sony is talking more about their console being a multimedia device lately than a games console, check out their article in edge this month (hey I cant drop down and get atomic over here) also the do direction the new psp hand held is going. Nintendo may not go down this road although the use of a connection for the wii would be crazy. I think this would be too good to pass up for microsoft as there new motion system would be ideal for porn. Oh and most countries love american porn, its one of the hotest properties at the moment, check out the american hedge fund industry actually its probably indirectly in your pension fund.
