Keen PC gamers are going to have to wait a little bit, and lot, longer.
Bad news for PC gamers. Two cross-platform big guns are going to be late to the PC, once again showcasing the fraught business of developing in a multi-platform environment.
We found it yesterday that Borderlands will drop on PC a week after it hits consoles. Last minute polishing and optimising is taking a little longer than expected.
And it's that optimising that looks to be taking much longer than expected with Assassin's Creed 2, which we've found out today - via the evil that is Twitter - is going to slip to the first quarter of next year. Ubisoft made very big noises about how hard it was working to bring a quality PC game to market - and at the same time - so we can only assume that the issues must be worth the slipped date.
Poo.
Both games are still on track for their console release dates.
