New Star Trek Online trailer shows why it's a good day to die

Q'apla!

Okay, I might be getting a little excited about Star Trek Online (actually, I would kill anyone reading this to make sure I get into the beta, so I guess that's 'excited' - maybe desperate is better).

I may already have a been putting thought into what I'm going to play (Captain William T. Grant, of the Fast Attack Ship USS Kalinin, top of his class in Diplomatic techniques).

It's even altogether possible that me and some of my similarly excited (read: desperate) friends are already thinking about forming a Fleet to take that second star from the right, and fly straight on 'til morning.

But there's one thing I can tell you has not been happening - I've not been thinking for one minute of playing a damned stinking Klingon!

(But, if you have, this new trailer might be interesting)

Oh, they'll pay. THEY'LL PAY!

"Drools"

Spock: Ahh, Mr. Scott, I understand you’re having difficulty with the warp drive. How much time do you require for repair?

Scotty: There’s nothing wrong with the bloody thing!

Spock: Mr. Scott, if we return to space dock, the assassins will surely find a way to dispose of their incriminating footwear, and we will never see the captain, or Dr. McCoy, alive again.

Scotty: Could take weeks, sir!

The Intrepid is most definitely available. For me, can't wait to helm an Akira class.

From what I have seen a lot of it isn't in keeping with Star Trek we know, there is heaps of "new" stuff that the developers have added. I think it will be more like the alternate reality garbage of the latest movie. But I would like to see more vids.
