UK Judge sick from playing Modern Warfare 2

Judge loves MW2 a little too much.

Modern Warfare 2 launched to impressive sales, topping $550 million worldwide in only five days, but its effects were felt far further than simple cash flowing to the developer - thousands worldwide chucked a sick day the day after launch.

Amongst those students and workers was one District Judge in the UK, so dedicated that he'd lined up at midnight to grab his copy of the game and felt "like Charlie waiting outside the chocolate factory". as reported by Times Online.

What the 48 year old did when he returned home was immediately rip the game out of the packaging and play it for hours without a break; faking sickness and postponing a court case so he could continue to play the game.

It's amusing to see the lengths that even Judges will go to for some extra game time, but it's safe to say that if a judge can do it - why not us?

Is it just me, or is the associated image completely inappropriate?

Sort of like a story about strippers and using a photo of a Susan B Anthony.

Headline is misleading...judge didn't get sick 'from' playing MW2, he chucked a sickie so he 'could play' MW2.

trying to make it sound like MW2 is bad......

How ironic that a judge in the UK gets criticised for overplaying the same game South Australia's so called No 1 legal officer, our mate Atkinson, is apparently going to mount a vigilante appeal against, having been released here by our crazy, wacko classification board homeys.

If it wasn't so sad it would be hilarious...

Atkinson out. It's time that right-wing prude was fired.

i didnt buy the game to play online, at the time i was a choice between mw2 and l4d2 and i picked l4d2. mistake i never play l4d2 due to those stupid gimped graphics. mw2 single player campaign was phenomenal.
