New Aliens V Predator trailer looks back at a classic

Video: Developers from Rebellion compare the new AVP experience the one they delivered ten years ago in this latest game trailer.

Ah, the simple joys of biting someone's face off to regenerate your health...

That was just one of the many pleasures of the first Aliens Vs Predator game that Rebellion released all the way back in 1999. It's also one of the game mechanics that's survived into the latest version, due for release for very soon. In this latest trailer, Rebellion devs look back on their first effort, and talk about the improvements to the game, and the classic values they've tried to keep.

One particularly neat aspect to the video is side-by-side comparisons of the two games - and man, the original still looks pretty good! Anyway, see for yourself...

AVP is released on all major platforms in February.

I recently re-played the original (Steam, US$4.99!!) and it STILL gives me the willies.

I really hope this new one delivers as much dread and claustrophobia as the original.
