Video: Get a taste of the general on general action in Creative Assembly's latest Total War iteration.

Last year, we made a big call early on claimed Empire: Total War as a possible game of the year contender. Thankfully, we were vindicated when, at year's end, a discussion on our forums voted the game pretty categorically as the big PC release of 2009.

But, to be honest, Empire was only ever a prologue; if there was one period that the entire series has been aiming for, it's this one - the era of Napoleon. It is the era of some of the classic battle of military history, from Waterloo and Austerlitz, to the bitter campaigns in Spain, to the cold defeats in Russia. And something that's going to be especially sweet in the new Total War is the groundbreaking multiplayer options.

Cannot. Wait. For. 25th!

Which is, okay, actually, because we have review code already... don't kill me! Look for a full and in-depth review in issue 110.

Any info on how the multiplayer options will work? As in connectivity? Will they restrict by region? Have to mess around with ports, like BorderFail?
