AvP will have dedicated servers!

Great news for the PC gamers waiting on the latest Aliens Vs Predator.

Following the release of the Aliens Vs Predator PC demo last night, there's been a bit of a kerfuffle over the lack of dedicated servers in the game. Following a similar snub in last year's bigger-than-The-Beatles Modern Warfare 2, PC gamers are increasingly leary of feeling left out by games publishers.

Thankfully, though, Sega's just confirmed with us that AvP on PC will feature dedicated server functionality - it's simply something that's no included in the demo.

So there you have it. Some good news for PC enthusiasts. And keep an eye on the site, as we've gotten a mess of new trailers for the game, which'll go up shortly.

They announced dedicated servers late last year, but you're right, it was confusing with the Demo only having match making. Bad demo imo anyway.

@orcone
I'd like to understand your point and have a lovely chat about it... but I can't.

Anyway, I can't believe dedicated server support is something we have to worry about now. CoD MW2 has officially ruined a standard that has stood in PC gaming for so very many years.

Given the backlash and the loss of $, with a bit of luck no-one will be replicating IW's decision to.. be morons about PC gamers.

@orcone

Whats with the flaming. Also you could work on your spelling and grammar before you start insulting others.

Putting that aside I am not sure I caught what it was you were trying to say?

If you are saying that servers are hard to use, then that it a valid point. But having said that I would imagine that server use is generally done by those who should know how to use one.

A server is not designed to be used by the masses.
