Video of the new PlayStation Move controller

Video: We were right - this thing looks really dorky. And a bit naughty.

Like we said after last week's announcement, we can now confirm that the new PlayStation Move is a premium way to look like an idiot while waving a multi-coloured vibrator about. Don't know what we mean? Compare and contrast the image on the right, and the one below:

The one on the right is a popular brand of adult personal massage device - one that shows up in many offilms that feature the word 'adult' in their topic. The bottom image is the Move controller. I think you see my point.

And I think you'll now agree that the below video looks like a mess of people waving vibrators at their television, friends and family.

My work here is done. Carry on.

I like it , all that arm waving stuff is dorky no matter who makes it.
If it has functionality that exceeds what is already on the market it will sell.
Wii made a fortune with the dorky stuff I hope PS3 does as well.

The kind of review that I am interested in is one that tells me how it well or not it works.
As with all things for sale if you don't like it don't buy it.

I hope you don't think this is a review, Waltish...

the girl in the article picture looks like she has mistaken the control for her other favorite battery powered device.

interesting to see this is how sony is attacking the motion game. i mean in a way they pioneered it with the I-toy, but now its just looks like they decided to remake the Wii

Yeah that is not a Move remote... it's a wand vibe.

No Hawkeye its obviously an opinion piece, but I just want to know how well it works or not.

I do like my medieval melee so If it works good I could see me bocking with one and hacking with the other ... hmmm next Elder Scrolls perhaps.

But if it performs poorly It will be the Six Axis controller for me {:)

That promo vid makes it sound like the software will be awful. But I'm sure given time it will have some use beyond mere gimmickery.

If I don't find a video of a girl doing naughty things with that while playing games after it's release, the Internet will have failed.

But you've got to buy two? At least with the Wii, one controller was a lower price... Wonders if the price will be comparable between EyeToy + 2 PSVibes vs WiiRemote+Nunchuk Vs Natal addon?

Anyone suggesting this controller is a wii-mote knock off isn't comprehending all the facts. Combined with the playstation-eye there is als a motin tracking feature as well as the accelerometer control. As usual Sony is breaking new ground.

we know it'll perform, and WAY better than what xBox will come up with. and then hopefully Nintendo blows them away with their next gen.

Considering it looks like you need 2 I don't see Sony asking you to buy them separate, More like in a pack.

As for it being WAY better than what xBox will come up with.

It will be different but with Microsoft they have gone down the path of you using your body with Project Natal.

Will be interesting to see them in action, Wii is not the best when it comes to the controllers, they are sloppy and unresponsive, The Motion Plus attachment to me has made it a lot more fun to play, But i think it can be done better, But for a first effort they pretty much nailed the fun factor. Now the other companies are making the step towards more interactive game play. It makes money so why wouldn't they.

I will pick up this and Natal when they are released :)
