Crysis 2 trailer debuts!

Video: Crysis 2's coming soon, and this new trailer is here to tease, titillate and hint at the game's major inspirations...

Crysis - the game that made PCs cry, and has only just recently seen hardware advance to the point that it can be comfortably maxxed out. And now... Crysis 2, promising to make a whole new generation of high-end rigs weep with shame.

The sequel is set in a war and alien-ravaged New York city - swapping the real jungle for the urban jungle. Nomad's back, of course, taking the fight to the alien invaders with a new upgraded Nanosuit 2.0. The marketing speak boasts best-of-breed AI and behavioural systems, revised suit modes, 'reinvented' multiplayer.

So whet your whistle with this:

Looks like Crysis 2 is taking a few pages out of the Halo playbook in terms of emotional impact... Expect to see the game on all major platforms in third quarter this year. And keep an eye out for issue 112 of Atomic (on sale next week!), for even more on the game!

LOL David... The first line made me laugh!! XD
"Crysis - the game that made PCs cry" - First laugh of the day!!

@ Video... these Aliens look mental compared to the ones in the first Crysis and Warhead. I wish they showed off a bit more, but I suppose this is giving us an idea of the storyline. CryEngine 3 gave us more of what the environment looks like. Blast it, this is going to be a DirectX 11 game. Apparently the new nanosuit can block of EMP grenades... that's what I heard. :S

What an atrocious song. I turned the sound off after about ten seconds.

Looks like it could be a decent ol' game though.

dam those army guys got owned and they had the flak jackets that made the north Koreans near invincible in the first game, how does someone with such inferior multimillion dollar state of the art combat suit hope to compete?

:P

At least I have another 6 months or so to save for a new GPU for it, despite just buying a 5850 a few weeks back!

doubt whether this will make the top end rigs cry too much if it still has to run on the same home consoles
but prob not unreasonable to asume that given the past games ;p
gotto "love" the c bomb on a public forum
way to go no nuts

^^ lol.

Game could be good if they remember to put a game in there with the tech demo this time (after all Far Cry was decent rt?) and hopefully the nanosuits will be dougher than a flak jacket this time :) Great trailer IMO.

well they have already stated that the console Cry3 engine is different to the PC Cry3 engine.

there's a lot more in the PC version that's not in the Console version.

Draw distance is the big one.
texture res will be a big one.

lets just hope we dont get console ported controls.

but i will wait till after release till i go for a GPU upgrade

The graphics in that video didn't look like an improvement over crysis.

Well A Hitman, I don't think many people out there can't even handle Crysis on even medium/mainstream settings out there... Let technology get better/more efficient, and let the market evolve.
