Crysis 2 trailer debuts!

Video: Crysis 2's coming soon, and this new trailer is here to tease, titillate and hint at the game's major inspirations...

Crysis - the game that made PCs cry, and has only just recently seen hardware advance to the point that it can be comfortably maxxed out. And now... Crysis 2, promising to make a whole new generation of high-end rigs weep with shame.

The sequel is set in a war and alien-ravaged New York city - swapping the real jungle for the urban jungle. Nomad's back, of course, taking the fight to the alien invaders with a new upgraded Nanosuit 2.0. The marketing speak boasts best-of-breed AI and behavioural systems, revised suit modes, 'reinvented' multiplayer.

Looks like Crysis 2 is taking a few pages out of the Halo playbook in terms of emotional impact... Expect to see the game on all major platforms in third quarter this year. And keep an eye out for issue 112 of Atomic (on sale next week!), for even more on the game!

XD "Crysis - the game that made PCs cry" - First laugh of the day!! @ Video... these Aliens look mental compared to the ones in the first Crysis and Warhead. I wish they showed off a bit more, but I suppose this is giving us an idea of the storyline. CryEngine 3 gave us more of what the environment looks like. Blast it, this is going to be a DirectX 11 game. Apparently the new nanosuit can block of EMP grenades... that's what I heard. :S

Darkmatter Apr 12, 2010 3:11 PM	well they have already stated that the console Cry3 engine is different to the PC Cry3 engine. there's a lot more in the PC version that's not in the Console version. Draw distance is the big one. texture res will be a big one. lets just hope we dont get console ported controls. but i will wait till after release till i go for a GPU upgrade
