Activision Vs Infinity Ward drama gets even more complex!

Activision Vs Infinity Ward drama gets even more complex!

Essential linkage: More news on the gaming fight of the century!

We've been following the drama at Activision for some time, but now it's just getting ridiculous.

First the two founders leave, sue Activision, and get counter-sued in turn. Then more IW employees leave, and now G4TV reports that all 38 employees have banded together to file a class action lawsuit against the gaming giant.

From the G4TV story:

"Activision owes my clients approximately $75 million to $125 million dollars," said Bruce Isaacs, one of the IWEG's attorneys at Wyman & Isaacs LLP, over the phone this afternoon. "Activision has withheld most of the money to force many of my people to stay, some against their will, so that they would finish the delivery of Modern Warfare 3. That is not what they wanted to do. Many of them. My clients' entitled to their money. Activision has no right to withhold their money -- our money."

Wow, this is... interesting. Check out the story for all the goss, some excellent game news reporting, and updates as they happen.

Yeah, about every week there's been a newspost on GameSpot about more leaving. I think it's great that they've stuck together, and stuck by their leaders. They really do have Activision by the balls for stalling Modern Warfare 3. I wouldn't be suprised if this hits Activision's share price, slap bang in the nuts.

So by the sounds of it MW3 will be really buggy then.

such a shame that such a big company is shedding their biggest asset, the developers. a game franchise is only as good as the dev's that keep it alive. suppose we can expect MW3 will be rubbish.
