New Call of Duty coming in November

Will Treyarch make a good game this time?

Star Trek fans have this thing. They know that the odd numbered films tend to be the lesser offerings. For all its majesty, The Motion Picture is not a patch on The Wrath of Khan; and while The Search for Spock does have Christopher Lloyd choking a mutant worm to death, it's no Undiscovered Country. It's a simple truth all fans respect.

Gamers have something similar. We know that the Call of Duty titles pushed out by Treyarch, the red-headed step-children of Activision's gaming posse, is not going to match the efforts of big brother Infinity Ward. But that doesn't stop them trying, and the next effort will be on shelves this November.

It's Call of Duty: Black Ops, and we have a completely non-informative teaser trailer.

Looks like it might have explosions, torture and gunfire. Who knew.

nesquick May 4, 2010 12:34 PM	COD5 was not a bad game, it got a lot of criticism cause it was treyarch not IW that made it, when you compare it to MW2 it looks like a decent all rounder so I am sure this will be good to, hopefully we get dedicated servers again.

Splinter277 May 4, 2010 4:30 PM	Whilst MW2 was indeed a great game, as a PC gamer I still feel somewhat dogged. I just hope that the next COD gets a little revamp in terms of what is a socially acceptable multiplayer experience.

Karmicfloss May 5, 2010 7:27 AM	Any modern multiplayer fps that doesnt support dedi servers sux balls. I do believe MW2 falls into that catgory...... Hopefully Treyarch can use quantum computing to get around the 'No lean' algorithm which was so tricky for MW2 scientists to figure out...?
alexdtree May 5, 2010 9:55 PM	with this game i really think the COD franchise has hit the point where all Activision can see is a big cow that they wanna milk till it's udders fall off.. i really hope this shall not be the start of Bi-annual releases that leave you wondering why you bought the game and longing for the next COD4 to take the world by storm
