Call of Duty: Black Ops to get dedicated servers

Whatta-ya-know? Treyarch finally gets it right!

The headline says it all, really. In interviews with US games press, Treyarch head Mark Lamia has confirmed the game's PC multiplayer modes will support dedicated servers.

Activision and Infinity Ward drew a lot of boos and raspberries earlier this year when Modern Warfare 2 launched without dedicated server support, and the game that was set to become the new standard in competitive play more or less slipped off the radar. There were a host of other PC-centric mis-haps, too.

Of course, it remains to be seen if Treyarch can break their run of delivering mediocre sequels in the series - but at least the online portion will be more community-friendly.

It's an allusion to the widely held belief that Treyarch's CoD games tend to not 'get it right', nes. As Ghostbear has backed up.

boos and raspberries would not have been how I would put it...

Although to be honest I can't think of many family friendly ways to put it anyway

It's still made by Activision so I don't really care.

Yeah cod4 was a stunning game and all, clap clap IW.
World at War however similar to Cod4 shows a diamond in the rough.
the Nazi Zombies for instance......that was some cool shit right there.
ohh and Treyarch actually listen to and support the community.

load up Worl at War now with the latest patches and see what its really like.
